LOVE
1st Corinthians 13 is known for Paul's discourse on love. Paul compares love to all quality's one may possess and makes his case for love being the most important of all. Personally I don't believe a human being can possess all aspects of love; I believe also Paul is describing the love of God. However we can certainly try to exhibit some if not all of these characteristics.
It could be easier to practice the kind of love Paul is describing if we could imagine ourselves being the recipient of that love from others.
Another aspect of this chapter is the fact that what we see now is only a partial and obscured view of what it is to be a child of God. That day when we will see it all is in the future, but to know we will see it all requires an acceptance of God's gift to us; our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If you have yet to make that decision I would suggest you visit John 3: and read what Jesus is telling Nicodemus in the garden and then read verse 16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
