THE SHEEP AND THE GOATS

Matthew 25:31-46: There are two widely accepted interpretations of this passage but the issue is to the timing as to when the judgment occurs. Rather than to major on the immaterial let’s focus on the real message; is one in or is one out?

I don’t mean to be funny (humor is acceptable) about this point because it is, or should be, a very serious concern to all; righteous (saved) vs. unrighteous (unsaved). It is apparent that a test of one’s spiritual state is how they treat God’s people (Jews) during this period (the end times). The saved will treat them kindly and the unsaved will treat them harshly. This is almost akin to faith and works as explained in James 2. There is such a faith as mere intellectual (believing in, but not accepting) and this type of faith is, in fact, dead as James tells us.

People will take Scripture like this out of context and create unnecessary confusion, attempting to demonstrate that good works are necessary for salvation, which is not the truth. Let’s be sheep by creating a personal relationship with Jesus and be saved.
