THE AGONY AND REALITY OF HELL

Luke 16:24: “So he called to him, Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.” Verse 25: “But Abraham replied, ‘Son remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.’” Lazarus lay at this man’s gate, a beggar, when he was alive and I’m sure he passed by Lazarus without giving him a second thought.

This does not mean that all rich people will go to hell, there will be many who will go to Heaven if they accepted Jesus as Savior; apparently this rich man had his faith and trust in his riches. By the same token not all poor people will go to Heaven; again it’s a matter of faith in Jesus.

NO NEED TO REPENT

Luke 15:6-7: “…rejoice with me I have found my lost sheep. I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” These are beautiful words from our Savior, aren’t they?

Yes indeed the Angels in Heaven do rejoice whenever a sinner accepts Jesus as Savior. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a party every time.

As for the ‘righteous’ who think they don’t have to repent, all I can say is good luck.

THE GREAT BANQUETiration

THE GREAT BANQUET

Luke 14:18: “But they all alike began to make excuses…” What a great parable to demonstrate how Israel refused to accept God’s invitation to accept Jesus as the Messiah.

As a result the invitation went to the Gentiles: “bring in sinners, the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.” After the death and resurrection of Jesus the entire world had an opportunity to accept Him as their personal Savior; and the same is true today.

The invitation is extended to you and all you need is to step out in faith; today.
