DON’T TRY IT

 

Luke 17:33: Jesus said: “Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.” This verse is saying if you try it without Jesus, if you think you can go it alone, you lose. If, on the other hand you lose your life to Jesus by accepting His free gift, then you will save it.

 

The moral of the analogy is simple and straight forward: Take a step in faith and accept Him. There is no other way; but many will try and will be looking for someone to cool their tongue as did the rich man in Luke 16.
