CAME TO SAVE THE LOST
Luke 19:9-10: Jesus said: “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.” He was in the house of Zacchaeus, a chief tax collector.
Jesus is referring to His coming to earth to save Israel who was lost and still is. There were many Jews like Zacchaeus who knew the true God because of his faith, therefore he accepted Jesus as the Messiah.
When Israel refused to accept Him he opened the way for the entire world to accept Him as Savior. It’s ironic but in a way we have Israel’s rejection of Jesus to thank for the simple way of salvation He has provided for us.
Repent (confess your sins), ask Jesus into your heart as your Savior and you will go to Heaven; no other conditions. He said it, I didn’t. Today can be your day.
