THE WIDOW’S OFFERING

 

Luke 21:3: “I tell you the truth,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”

 

What a great testimony for a real giver, a person of immense faith. All she had, wow. I don’t even want to ask myself what I would do and I am glad God is merciful and doesn’t require of me to demonstrate my faith as she did.

 

I do believe the moral here is the condition of our heart when we do give, when we help others and when we pray to our Father. Do we give lovingly, do we help others in need with love and do we thank God when we pray? And how often do we fellowship with Him each day?

 

When we read the Bible and all the things Jesus did for us we are able to better understand what a loving heart can accomplish. God gave us His Word; to not only help us understand Him better, but also to inspire us to love Him and others as we would ourselves. Open your Bible today and get inspired.
