THE ETHIOPIAN
Acts 8:30-31: Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked. “How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” He was reading prophecy and couldn’t understand the meaning; it was about Jesus’ crucifixion.
We are so fortunate to have had Jesus come to earth to open the Church Age which we are now in and will be until the rapture. We do not have to interpret prophecy because Jesus fulfilled it. All we need to do is read the Living Word and believe what we read; this requires a desire to know the truth, and faith.
Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me…” These words require no interpretation; they are simple, straight forward and truthful. Faith is required for one to believe; which comes from reading the Bible i.e. to read, to listen, to hear God speak to you. The Bible says of itself: ‘it is active and living.’ Read a passage today.
