MADE EASY
Acts 14:22, Paul is strengthening and encouraging the brothers to remain true to the faith and said to them: “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.” The people didn’t appreciate the Word of God being preached and certain of them began stoning Paul and dragged him outside the city assuming he was dead. After the Disciples gathered around him he got up and went back into the city; the next day they left.
Today we are so fortunate not to have to go through what the early Disciples did to create the Church. They met terrible deaths, were treated badly, imprisoned, exiled, etc. By the grace of God we have been spared. However we must remember Christians are still being killed throughout the world; if my memory serves me right I believe there are approximately 150,000 killed each year. This may be hard to believe but it’s true.
It is so important for us to strengthen ourselves and become stronger in the faith each day. Satan is very active, trying desperately to prevent people from accepting Jesus and to weaken the believer’s testimony; the closer we get to the return of the Lord the more active he becomes.
